Suddenly, for some reason, I can't seem to remember my address. That is, I remember all the numbers that go into it (it's a four digit number, but it only contains two distinct numbers), and how many times each number is repeated, but I can't seem to remember what order they go in. I remember the first and the last, but not the middle two.

Has that ever happened to anyone else?

Oh, yes, but I have number dyslexia (dyscalcula, is it called?)

for a while my work extension was 5467 and my ATM pin was 5746. The only way I could do it was by location on the keypad.

That's how I remember my PIN. To remember the numbers, I have to draw the shape in my head and then figure out which one goes where.

I don't do this often though, so I'm not sure why I'm doing it today. Perhaps it's the newness of the address.

Yes, absolutely. I have more trouble with my phone number -- it's got an 8 and a 9 in it, and I keep wanting those to switch places.

That, left/right confusion, and an overall suckiness at the most basic arithmetic. Yeah, I'm a barrel of brain cramps.

Yep, more so when I'm especially tired. I couldn't remember my PIN the other day...and most of my PINs (various passwords, etc) spell something.

The other day, I couldn't remember what street I lived on. To be fair, my street address and my apt. complex name are very similar. I was combining them.

PIN number, telephone area codes, frequently mistaking the number 6 for 8, thinking in 24 hour clock, otherwise I can't work out the time, hopeless at working out a sequence of numbers, counting 11, 12, 14, 14, 15 and being completely unaware...

I tend to remember things like PINs as the sequence on the number pad, not the number. This makes the fact that number sequence is non standard very frustrating. I wish that they would pick -- I don't care whether they go with top down or bottom up, but *pick* one and stick with it. I also tend to have trouble remembering my own home phone number because I never call myself -- and if I'm calling my S.O. it's on cell.
