It's the Turks

So Turkey bombed Iraq this morning.
As long as the Iraqi government stays calm and lets the Turks bomb whoever they please, everything should go alright. If they do get riled up over this we enter the nightmare scenario, where US trained and supported troops from Iraq may attack a NATO country we are pledged to defend. We could end up accidentally declaring war on ourselves, not to mention turning the mess in Iraq into an even bigger mess.
I'm sure the White House would love to complain, but since Turkey is suffering from terrorist attacks, they get to bomb whoever they damn well please. It's called the Bush doctrine. Maybe somebody in the White House should look it up.
Never set a precedent that will one day bite you in the ass.
ETA: I have to add, for completeness, that it's claimed the US approved the strikes ahead of time, so maybe the White House has learned to keep its mouth shut regarding this mess.
