If I see the words "Floating Point Exception" one more time, in any context, I will not hold myself responsible for my actions.

You so cute! would it comfort you or annoy you if I told you I had no idea what that phrase meant? I suspect the latter...

Debugging code.

Consider it the equivalent of submitting a paper for editing, only to have it returned with the comment "Something doesn't feel right" scrawled on the side. Now imagine that, no matter what you do to rewrite it, the paper is returned with the same comment. That's sort of how it feels.

Thank God I'm not the only one feeling this way today.

Except for me it's "Kant", "inductive/deductive reasoning" and "Trancedental idealism", but we're on the same boat.

And I have a sneaking suspicion that the boat is sinking.

GAH! Did you have to mention debugging code? *goes back into hiding*

Trade you code.

You can even look at mine if you want to see really long C++ code (http://cdfcodebrowser.fnal.gov/CdfCode/).

I find myself wondering what would happen if I were to shout the words

(((FLOATING POINT EXCEPTION!)))

Would such action cause you to take leave of your senses long enough to agree to a friending by a long-haired, Birkentstock-wearing, southwestern lesbian, who knows absolutely nothing of physics?

For in truth, I find your writing/commentary to be quite brilliant. Yet I find that I'm uncomfortable with my periodic acts of lurking about your LJ.

Go ahead. Truth to tell, I keep remembering that I should friend you, and then forgetting to because I am lazy.

I hold no responsibility for any loss of sanity that you may experience as a result of reading my LJ. My insurance doesn't cover it, and I, as a graduate student, am broke.

*Laughs*

Oh, no worries. My sanity (along with a good portion of my common sense) decamped loooong ago.

Thank you for agreeing to be friended by me. *Gladly goes off to do just that* And if you ever feel like doing the same, by all means, please do so.
