GAFF information

All right, those of you on GAFF pay attention.

The current key to accessing the forums labeled as "Protected" seems to be as follows; post in another forum first, then you should be able to post. bladed_crescent and tripathy have confirmed this for the Administrivia forum, and I've confirmed it for New Releases.

I would appreciate it if people could tell me if the same thing goes for posting in another of the open "Guest posting allowed forums" such as Why God Why? and Golden Oldies, so if anyone tries that, leave me a message so at least we know. I also don't know yet if this effect ends when you reboot your computer or close your web browser, since I'm doing something with mine and I haven't changed it yet.

I've looked through my cookies and can't find anything strange, but I'm not very good at reading them properly.

ETA: Thanks to nightdog_barks's suggestions, I have posted this comment at gaff_lj. Please leave any comments about whether certain forums open the restricted zone there so that the information is centrally collected. Thank you.
