Sometimes violence is perpetuated by villains and evil masterminds. And sometimes it's just the idiots of the world who move things along.

Not the same region, but speaking of hate and stupidity: I'm reading several books on the 1994 genocide in Rwanda, and I'm sort of speechless about the whole story. I think I'm rapidly loosing any optimism I had for that part of Africa.
