So, I have a soft spot for LEGO. I have a soft spot for cities. I have a soft spot for science fiction. So it's really not much of a surprise that I find this photo set fascinating. Doubly impressive are the quotes that the artist has created for some of the images, exploring the nature of his creation.

Those are *super*. Thank you for sharing them! I'll confess -- as I child I always coveted a model castle (complete with dragons and knights) that one of my cousins had. I don't know why I never asked my parents for one, but I didn't. Seeing this reminds me of how wonderful that was. :)

I don't think I ever got one of the big castle sets, although I clearly wanted one (although that was when castle sets were less ... peculiar ... than they are nowadays). I did have one bit piece but it was sort of anti-climatic because it had a bunch of pieces that were really hard to use for anything else.

My cousin's wasn't Lego, it was something else, but it had a working draw bridge, and a miniature trebuchet, and was all sorts of wonderful. I suppose I really am still eight at heart.
