Oh, it's reporting useful information, it's just that nobody seems to know what's helpful at this point. Evacuation instructions are confused, and nobody seems to have a definitive list of what zip codes are being evacuated, and which are under advisory, and which just have no idea what's going on. I think that everyone's confused - even the regular news stations are having to steal pictures off of Google.
It's not that they're bad at reporting the official news. It's that the official news is coming in bits and pieces, and most of those bits and pieces are simply too small and too lacking to be of any use.
