My father and I sometimes have odd conversations.

Today we talked briefly about Black Mountains Smokery of Wales, who has been warned that it must change the name of its "Welsh Dragon Sausages" to specify in particular the animal whose meat forms the bulk of the sausage. We speculated that this might be because the British have perhaps made the Dragon a protected species, who can only be hunted by Saints, and only certain Saints at that.

Which led to some speculation. Does the Vatican, which has lists for everything having to do with doctrinal development, also have lists for this? Do they have a list of "Saints who could totally own a dragon", and "Saints who maybe could slay a dragon" along with "Saints who could, under no circumstances, slay a dragon". And, if so, do they discuss this stuff behind closed doors in church conferences?

Which would lead to entries like this:

"Besooth and forgiveth my tresspasses Lord, for I have sinned in your church. This day, in conference, I did fall upon and vigorously smite the Bishop of Tours for his churlish refusal to admit that Hildegard of Bingen could so totally pwn a dragon. I shall do pennance for my acts of anger, in the hopes that you shall see fit to deliver to him the punishment he so richly deserves."

Which I think is amusing.

Which just shows you that I'm weird.
