A one week schedule is incredibly brutal. One barely has time to adjust before the switch back.

Have you tried consuming some sports drinks? If you're having trouble sleeping then it might be best to avoid things high in caffeine or taurine. However, being exhausted and cold is a certain way to completely throw your body chemistry out of tune, and it takes a long time to recover.

Personally I loathe most sports drinks -- they taste incredibly foul to me, but I compensate by making my own: a blend of tea and fruit juice with some added salt and sugar. It sounds revolting, but can be tailored to your own preferences in tea and juice, and works equally well hot or cold. It's also good for preventing heat exhaustion as well as cold stress, by the way. And wear layers -- a light tshirt under a thin sweater under a fleece, for example, is more effective insulation than a heavy sweater under a jacket, and you can adjust to changing conditions if you're going out into warm weather by just taking off the excess layers.

*blinks* I don't know when I turned into your mother. Please excuse me. :D I am hoping that you can pull through this with minimal distress, however.
