Defensetech reports that the US's brand-new $120+ million dollar F-22A Raptor fighter jet suffers a complete failure of its primary computer systems whenever it crosses the International Date Line. This includes both flight instruments and navigational gear.
The problem has since been fixed, and the Air Force has accepted the egg on their face with good grace, but it leaves one to wonder what surprises are going to occur when it actually sees combat.
