An official investigation by the Chinese government into the multiple injuries sustained by activist Fu Xiancai, including a blow to the back of the neck that broke three of his vertebrae, has concluded that, due to the lack of footprints, the injuries must have been self-inflicted. The activist, who promotes the welfare of those displaced by the Three Gorges Dam, received said injuries while returning from an interview with the Public Security Bureau. Investigators from the Public Security Bureau have concluded that, despite harassing him in the past, none of their agents were involved in what is clearly a self-inflicted plea for attention.
Mr. Fu is not expected to walk again.

Either something strange is going on here, or that may be the most pathetic cover-up attempt I have ever seen in my life. I heard better excuses from Nixon for God's sake.
