There will probably be nothing profound in this journal as nothing interesting seems to happen in my life. Thus I will resort to what people like me usually resort to when confronted with the sad truth of our menial existence: lie.

So be warned, things on this journal are not necessarily as they appear.

Now that I think about it, I suppose that I should actually do something with this journal-like tell you how my day was. That would not be too amusing, because I spent most of the day testing computer parts to see if they worked in an attempt to make myself an office space. This is a lot less fun than it sounds, especially since old cases have many pieces that can be described as poorly engineered, and I haven't had my Tetnus Booster recently.

The crowning moment of my day was when I turned on one of the old computers, and the numbers came on the small screen slowly to reveal that it was a 286. A 286! Memories dipped in blessed nostalgia, that sweetest of nectars, swept over me, reminding me of the many days I spent navigating my way around a 256 color screen in games that have never been equaled since. With mounting tension I watched as the numbers on the memory counter slowly made their way upwards, climbing toward some secret peak known only to the components of that ancient machine. Then they stopped, peaking at that magic value; 640k! How excellent. How strange that this dusty box, forlorn and forgotten in a storage room lost to mortal men, can contain so many untainted memories, to be released upon the slightest touch.

First thing tomorrow I'm checking the crack content of my breakfast cereal. And I'm going to make sure that nobody's smoking pot next door. Unfortunately by the time I came out of my nostalgia induced high, I had already stacked the computer where it could not be easily disposed of. Curses! Foiled again! I'll just have to get rid of it next time around. Either that or turn it into a Linux box. Anything can be turned into a Linux box (or so I've been told, I've never actually done it myself).

Tomorrow is likely to be boring as well, and the rest of the week, so I think I'll make something up as an entry.

Now I remember that I'm not too good at this journal thing.
