I think you have identified the problem: people need to pick a variety of tea. They also need to relax about other people's tea drinking proclivities. (I currently have a mug of Earl Grey steaming beside me as I writ this.)

The perspective of the U.S. elections from the outside has been baffling. It puts me in mind of seeing a crowd at some sort of blood sport (a cockfight or the bull ring).
