There seems to be a correlation here. We've had unreasonable drought partially because of the "polar vortex"; the concentration of high pressure zones in the Pacific causing massive low pressure zones over the middle of the continent that freezes people. Now that it's reversed you guys get the warm winter and we get the rainy one.

Unfortunately nobody seems to have a magic ball to predict what's going to happen next year. This whole thing is turning into an exercise in divination.
