Most states have a guide under the election page or the Secretary of State page. However, if your profile is accurate and you live in CT (I don't remember where you are) I can't seem to find it. The list of candidates for state office is here (http://www.sots.ct.gov/ElectionsServices/CampaignFinance/CAN06.doc), but there does not appear to be any information on propositions. It is possible that CT does things differently.
