A Mite Warm...

Do you know what I absolutely hate seeing in the morning?

Today...Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 90s. Heat index readings 105 to 110 in the late morning and afternoon.

Seems like a good day to stay indoors. Yes, I am a wimp. Why do you ask?

Seems to me like a very good day to stay indoors, sip a cold beverage and rejoice in one's air conditioning. That's not "wimpy" - that's just showing a little common sense. (And believe me, I sympathise...not too long ago, our area was just as hot and icky. Summer can definitely be overrated!)

I wish you cool breezes and lower temperatures!

I wish the air conditioning in our apartment worked better. We managed to get the temperatures down to 88-89 overnight, but not much more than that.

Yeah, California ain't doing so good these days I hear.

We've been getting shitloads of rain, which cut the temperature down to around the low seventies. It's nice, but streets have been flooding and everything's been going to shit in the more rural areas of town.

You know, I feel most sorry for the British. I hear tell they had record-breaking heat of 96 degrees last week. As in, the hottest it's ever been in all recorded history of Britain. They'd prolly die if they had to live in the American South. Not that it's a bad thing to be used to lower summer temperatures, the lucky bastards.

Swap you. It's pissing down with rain here, and about 15°.

BLOODY WHINGERS WITH THEIR SUN AND WARMTH AND DELICIOUS DRINKS WITH LITTLE DECORATIVE UMBRELLAS.

I'm looking forward to winter again, where it will be 5 below (Farenheit), and the wind will be blowing hard enough to knock you off your feet.

Except that I won't be here anymore. I'll be back in San Diego where it almost never reaches freezing. Damnit.
