Oh hey, so I'm not the only one for whom the flat-packed furniture is always somehow subtly Off and Requiring of Inventiveness?

It worked right about up to the point where I was trying to get the entire frame together. Then the last piece was misaligned at both ends, and required vast amounts of physical force to get the screws to line up.

Next time I think I'll just buy a drill and make the hole by hand.

This is why I always have a drill to hand when working with IKEA furniture. (I also don't buy IKEA products for the "important" furniture I'm going to be resting weight on/moving around on like beds or sofas.)

Storage shelves are nice and square...you think they could be done well.
