The big news about ASEAN is that they didn't comment on the South China Sea. Or rather, for the first time in forty-five years, ASEAN failed to come up with a join statement. There is a roundup of after-conference activities from The Diplomat as well as some other commentary on their site. The short version is that the Philippines and Vietnam wanted ASEAN to say something regarding the Scarborough Shoal, but Cambodia, who was the host, demurred. About this time the larger news media picked up the story and ran with it, but there aren't many other details. Nobody's talking about who screwed up what at this particular time.
