You're much closer to that part of the world than I am, and you probably can get more news from Myanmar. I still don't have many sources there, and everyone covering Southeast Asia got distracted by ASEAN this week. With the massacres of Muslims and the continuing unrest radiating out of the Karen, I'm unsurprised things are getting tense.
Indian news is also hard to come by, even in places with large Indian populations. There seems to be a focus here on news from areas of India that are more developed and thus have less of the "things are now on fire" news articles. Other problems, including ethnic tensions on the Indian borders and the Naxalites, and whoever else I'm missing, seem to be treated as a 'periphery' issue of considerable less importance. I'm not sure what it says about us (or even who 'us' is).
Anyway, thanks for the updates, and good to hear that you're still around and kicking.
