Since we still don't have, and probably will never have at this rate, a muon collider (we're supposed to...eventually), I don't see why not. It's not like you get points off for dreaming of a muon collider.

You've touched on a sore point though. If Congress hadn't canceled the SSC, we would have made this all obsolete back in 1996...
