I forgot that the ratio in Chemistry was much more balanced. Is the graduate student ratio similarly 50/50 (or was that what you were talking about?).

Chemistry has been strange recently, because I've been getting the impression that there's been a much larger gap between physical chemistry and biochemistry/organic chemistry, especially in training. That could possible contribute to some strange behavior there, but I'll confess to knowing little about the Chemistry end of the university.
