Well you didn't make me angry (sorry, although I could probably manage a few 'MEENs' and 'OMG you don't know me!s' if you like?), but that's probably because I was educated back home in England, where we all take the core subjects of maths, english and science (physics, chemistry, biology) until age 16. After that we are free to go if we like, but can choose to start specialise and spend two years on (probably) 4 subjects more intensely (A-Levels), after which point it's undergraduate time. You probably already knew all of that.

I have a question though - do you think it's lack of education in sciences that causes people to believe that the weight loss drug they buy on tv might actually work? After a certain point. your education is in your own hands. I didn't take any sciences beyond age 16, but I do pretty damn good on Jeopardy even when it's not Shakespeare ;)
